T. de Pharmacie. Il n'est guère usité que dans ces expressions : Plantes officinales, Celles qui entrent dans des préparations utiles ou agréables, et qu'on trouve dans les boutiques d'herboristes, etc. Compositions officinales, Préparations pharmaceutiques qui se trouvent toutes composées chez les apothicaires ; à la différence des Compositions magistrales, qui sont composées immédiatement, et conformément à l'ordonnance du médecin.
